In an effort to get back on a good training schedule and finish out 2013 on a strong note, I decided to take on a 31 runs in 31 day challenge. The goal was to run a minimum of 30 mins every day for the month of December and I’m happy to say it was a successful endeavor! This was a slightly scary unknown for me as I’ve never run more than 4 days in a row. My biggest fear going into it was injury, something I struggle with when upping my miles or frequency, but I was able to make it through by keeping my weekly mileage around where it would normally be and focusing on making some of the runs truly short and easy recovery runs.
A side project of the challenge was to capture each of the runs in a picture to commemorate the month and share it with all the others that were out taking on the challenge with me. The support, encouragement, and motivation I received from everyone else taking on the challenge was amazing! Seeing others posts and pictures was a great way to keep myself focused on attaining the goal.
Without further blabbering, here are the pictures from the month of running with a little info about each day.
